Yeah. Im delighted today to talk to you about some of the laws of leadership. The reason that letter was so written was because years ago they made a decision, he and Sarah, that they were going to challenge their kids to make personal growth decisions. Heres where Im going. I did it yesterday too in our leadership team meeting. Lets go make powerful, positive change because everyone deserves to be led well. I think growth happens in a lot of ways. If youre not, pick up the book at least and start investing in yourself with intentionality because it is a difference maker. If youre going to grow and if Im going to grow, were going to grow intentionally. And I can guarantee you this, 100% of the lets call it goals, or 100% of the New Years resolutions that dont get set will be unmet. You dont stop or not start because of what you dont have. What I love about that is that John says, If we want things to get better, then weve got to go after it on a daily basis. Now, Im going to take you down a little bit, if you dont mind, I want to take you down a little bit of a different path than maybe normal. What we have to understand about the law of intentionality is that you cannot develop yourself and you cannot develop your people unless youre intentional. I got to do this more so I can get those people changing, and one day it hit me, No, no, no, John. Like Chris said, this was not scripted or prepared, but three reasons. I want to put it out there that I want my team, our team, to know that Im growing and Im putting it out there. . Mahatma Gandhi said, We must be the change that we envision. Tolstoy said, Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. And the first comment I would like to make is this when one person cannot change another person. I reviewed it this morning, Ill review it tomorrow morning, Ill review it Saturday, Ill review it Sunday. I think when you are announcing changes, most recently I felt like there was some change of focus, some change of energy that we needed to have in our organization, and the first thing that I did was go on a fact finding mission.
